Dr. Jeremy A. Beller

Welcome to my personal website. Currently, I am currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellow at the SFF Centre for Early Sapiens Behaviour (SapienCE) in the Institute for Archaeology at the University of Bergen, Norway. I am also affiliated with Shaping European Research Leaders for Marine Sustainability (SEAS), part of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. Additionally, I serve as a Research Member of the Earth Materials and Archaeometry Center at the University of Manitoba, Canada. This website offers key information of my past and on-going research, teaching, and community activities.

My research focuses on the technoeconomies of hunter-gatherer and early urban societies, by reconstructing patterns of human-landscape interaction, material utilisation, and technological development. I specialise in lithic and faunal analysis, which allow me to generate the data needed to investigate the aforementioned behavioural domains. Geographically, these pursuits have taken me to Canada, Greece, Israel, Jordan, Latvia, and South Africa.
